Bacon and chili pasta sauce
Hot and spicy bacon pasta sauce! So easy to make. This is one of my fastest and most frequently made dinners.
0.7 lbs bacon
1.5 cups creme fraiche or sour cream for cooking
½ tsp Sambal Oelek chili paste (or other chili paste or chili sauce)
Oregano or basil
Cut the bacon directly into the frying pan with a pair of scissors. You don't need to use butter, the bacon is fat enough. Fry the onion. As soon as the onion is getting transparent, add creme fraiche/sour cream. Then add Sambal Oelek or chili paste - use as much as you like, our recommendation below makes for a rather mild chili taste. Also, different brands have different degrees of heat. Add coarsely chopped pepper and spices, stir and allow to cook for a while.
Serve preferably with penne, fussilli or farfalle.
