Homemade chicken fajitas
Making chicken fajitas is almost like having fast food done at home. If the weather is right, why not involve them in the barbecue menu?
2 chicken fillets
1 fajita spice mix
5 fresh field mushrooms
1 chili fruit
5 tbsp sweet corn
1 clove of garlic
2 tbsp lime juice
4-6 tortillas (depending on size)
Chop the chicken fillets into cubes and coarsely chop the onion and chili fruit. Begin by frying these three ingredients. Add chopped or crushed garlic, the fajita spice mix and maybe a dash of water. Add the mushrooms, peppers and lime juice and lastly, add the corn.
Serve in warm tortillas (put them in the microwave oven or the regular oven for a bit). Make your chicken fajitas directly on the plate by putting the chicken filling in the middle of the tortilla so that it covers half of the bread. Put some salsa and sour cream on the mix. Fold the bottom part of the tortilla across the middle of the filling, then fold the left and right flaps so that they overlap, covering the filling completely. Wrapping a paper napkin around the tortilla before eating is strongly recommended.
