Pasta with ham and cream sauce
I found this ham pasta recipe in an old Italian magazine. It's one of my favorites because it's so easy to make.
3.5 oz ham
1 cup cream
½ squash or zucchini
Some maize corn flour (if you want a thicker sauce)
A pinch of grated nutmeg
Chop the onion and fry until it looks a bit transparent. Add cream and small slices or cubes of ham. Allow to simmer for a while, then add the squash and the herbs/spices. Adjust the thickness of the sauce by using a desired amount of maize corn flour.
Recommended pasta: Fussilli or farfalle.
